Privacy Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026SignSlap is a sticker app of real-looking street, park and subway signs. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@signslap.app.
What we collect
- A random device ID. The app creates a random ID when it's installed and sends it to our server (api.signslap.app) with requests. We use it to remember purchases made on that device. It is not your phone's hardware ID.
- Account details, if you sign in. Signing in is optional. If you create an account with email, we store your email address, a username and a hashed password. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, we store the email and name that Google or Apple share with us, and their account ID. We also store the app language you use (English or Spanish), so emails such as password resets reach you in that language.
- Purchases. When you buy a city or Remove Ads, we store which product you bought, the store's transaction ID and the platform, so you can restore it later. Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card details.
- Feedback and bug reports. If you send feedback or a bug report, we store your message, the type of report, your device's operating system and app version, and your email address if you choose to give it.
- Advertising. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions to show and measure ads. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings. Buying Remove Ads turns ads off.
- Crash data, diagnostics and anonymized screen recordings of app sessions (text and images masked), not linked to identity. If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to our own error-tracking server (sentry.scottorgera.com): the error and where in the code it happened, the app version, and the device's operating system and model. On Android and iOS the report can include a short screen recording of the session leading up to the error (and a small random sample of other sessions), with all text and images masked, so we see only the layout and taps, never what you typed or which signs you used. Reports contain no name, email, account ID or IP address and are deleted after 90 days.
What stays on your phone
Your favorites, recently used stickers, packs, custom signs and settings are stored on your device and are not sent to us. Saving a sticker to your photos needs your permission and only writes the image you chose. SignSlap does not use your location, camera, microphone or contacts.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to unlock and restore what you bought, to sign you in, to answer feedback and fix bugs, and to show ads in the free version. We don't sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share data only with the services that make the app work: Google Play / Apple App Store (purchases), Google and Apple (if you use their sign-in), Google AdMob (ads), and our hosting provider. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep account and purchase records while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings › Account › Delete Account) or by following the steps at signslap.app/delete-account. Deleting your account removes your email, name and password from our server. Purchases stay tied to the store account you used, so you can still restore them with Restore Purchases.
Children
SignSlap is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@signslap.app and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes. Your sign-in token is kept in your phone's secure storage.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
